Finger position to type faster
You can feel the small plastic elevated 'tabs' over the F and J keys. Put your index fingers on those keys. Place the middle finger of your left hand on D, ring finger over S, and small finger over A. Place the middle finger of your right hand on K, ring finger over L, and small finger on ;(semicolon symbol). This finger position is called the home position. After pressing any key you need to put your fingers back in the home position. If you learn this you don't need to look at the keyboard while typing.
